2025

speed weekend melbourne

Organised by Stephen Green to re-create the Cobram Air Races and honour my Father's contribution to competition flying , this event was scheduled for June at VMAA State Field Melbourne. To comply with the Area Approval, right hand circuits were initiated to increase safety and remain within the property boundaries. This was published in the rules six months earlier along with an inflight video flying around the new course

One month out a number of competitors refused to enter unless the circuit direction was changed. Event handed over to Large Scale Racing Club.  Which cancelled due to an unfavourable weather forecast. Conditions proved to be quite okay
